This 3-Day / 2-Night Tour takes you to two of Greece’s most important historical and cultural destinations: the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Delphi Archaeological Site and the spectacular Meteora Monasteries.

Discover Delphi, once considered the “Center of the Ancient World” and known as the “Navel of the Earth.” Explore the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo and admire the Temple of Apollo, where the priestess Pythia delivered the famous prophecies of the Oracle of Delphi. Continue your experience at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, home to an exceptional collection of treasures discovered at Delphi. Among its most celebrated masterpieces are the famous Bronze Charioteer and the Sphinx of Naxos, offering a fascinating insight into the history and importance of this ancient sanctuary.

The journey then leads to the extraordinary Meteora Monasteries, where centuries-old monasteries stand high on enormous rock formations above the Thessalian landscape. Monastic life at Meteora has continued for centuries and remains active today.

What to Expect – Itinerary:

Day 1: Athens – Arachova – Delphi Archaeological Site

Depart from Athens and travel towards Delphi, passing through Thebes and Levadia before continuing through picturesque Arachova Village, set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus.

Upon arrival in Delphi, visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Delphi Archaeological Site, once regarded as the “Navel of the Earth.” Explore the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, including the Treasury of the Athenians and the Temple of Apollo, where the priestess Pythia delivered the famous prophecies of the Oracle of Delphi.

The guided tour continues at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, home to an impressive collection of finds from ancient Delphi, including the famous Bronze Charioteer and the Sphinx of Naxos.

After the guided tour of the archaeological site and museum, enjoy a free afternoon in Delphi.

Day 2: Delphi – Lamia – Kalambaka (Meteora)

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a free morning in Delphi to relax, explore the surroundings, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this historic setting.
Later, depart for Kalambaka on a scenic journey through Central Greece, passing through the town of Lamia along the way.

Arrive in Kalambaka, a small town set at the foot of the extraordinary rock formations of Meteora.

Dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka.

Day 3: Meteora Monasteries – Thermopylae – Athens

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting out for the spectacular Meteora Monasteries, standing high on enormous rock formations that seem to rise between earth and sky.

Meteora has been an important center of Orthodox monastic life for centuries, with monasteries built in seemingly inaccessible locations on the tops of the towering rocks. During the visit, discover priceless historical and religious treasures, impressive examples of Byzantine art, icons, wall paintings, and the unique atmosphere of these centuries-old monastic communities.
After the visit, begin the return route through Central Greece, passing through the towns of Trikala and Lamia.

At Thermopylae, make a short stop to view Leonidas’ Monument from across the road, commemorating the Spartan king and the famous Battle of Thermopylae.

Continue to Athens, with arrival in the early evening, marking the end of the 3-Day Delphi and Meteora Tour.
