Very enjoyable from the top deck. Just take sunscreen if you're going in summer.
My sister wanted history, I wanted shopping, and my husband mostly wanted to sit down. Somehow the ticket worked for all three of us. We kept splitting the day into little sections instead of doing one big sightseeing marathon.
Did the city route one day and Riviera the next. Value for money
The open top is great in the morning and late afternoon. At 2 pm in July it was another story! Bring a hat and plenty of water.
Nice way to see the city without walking nonstop. Athens has a lot of hills and heat, so we appreciated the breaks.
Convenient to go for a swim at Voulagmeni area without having to change multiple buses. You pick it up from Plaka and it takes you directly there. Plus, you can use the ticket for 2 days unlimited.
The only downside is that some buses don't have cover at the top and with these high temperatures in summer it's too much, especially at noon.
Departures are frequent tho so it's pretty convenient to use the buses for sightseeing
A bit crowded this time of year but other than that it covers lots of areas both in the center and the seaside.
We've done the Bigbus tours in other capitals we've visited. It's worth doing
